Kaitlin Nares

Kaitlin Nares is the owner, founder, and managing attorney of Nares Law Group.  Kaitlin believes that success happens when we find a better way & are able to share it. How she does that is by making things simple and easy to use. Ultimately what she brings is an outside the box solution.

She can’t help it, she has been this way her whole life. Whether she owned a pet store or a laundry mat, Kaitlin would always be seeking to find a better way, make the process simple and clear, and challenge the status quo.

Kaitlin started Nares Law Group because she witnessed other law firms time and time again resolving brain injury cases for shockingly low settlements. Her blood boiled because there had to be a better way– these brain injury survivors deserve a hopeful future and the ability to live their best life possible.

Working hand in hand with the county’s top neuro specialists, Kaitin created a 5 step process to advocate for brain injury survivors to get policy limits, or more. It’s a simple process, that is easy for adjusters, defense attorneys, and jurors to understand–It clicks, and they understand that these are permanent injuries that deserve just compensation.

Is Kaitlin disrupting the entire personal injury industry by getting astronomical outcomes for brain injury survivors? You bet. Kaitlin believes with mastery and real-world results, she can change the world.

Kaitlin is experienced going toe to toe with the nation’s largest insurance companies. These companies have chosen profit over safety—resulting in catastrophic consequences for families. Kaitlin’s area of expertise includes truck wreck litigation and traumatic brain injuries. These are some of the toughest civil cases. They require a mastery of the laws, regulations, science, and medical literature. Kaitlin is a trial lawyer and willing to hold these large companies accountable. Her goal is to change laws and policies to make our communities safer.

Kaitlin prioritizes communication and understanding, and values honesty and trustworthiness. Kaitlin lays out for her clients the complicated process of collecting against insurance companies. She then educates her clients on their diagnosed injuries and paints a picture of their medically recommended long-term treatment needs. Along the way, Kaitlin takes over the frustrating, and many times, disheartening, phone calls with insurance adjusters. She communicates with her clients during each step of the process so they can make well informed legal decisions. Kaitlin is trial tested and will advocate for your family.
Kaitlin serves on the board of Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the American Academy of Justice’s Traumatic Brain Litigation section.

Kaitlin began her legal career in Manhattan by litigating in the Southern District of New York. Kaitlin has been in courtrooms for over a decade. Kaitlin is featured in the award-winning documentary False Confessions for her litigation work in some of the country’s most notorious civil rights cases. Kaitlin is known for her calm demeanor, being quick on her feet, and outworking her opponents.

Kaitlin empathizes with her clients because she identifies with her clients. As a mother, Kaitlin understands that countless people are waking up in the middle of the night worried about themselves or their injured spouses and children. They are worried about mounting medical bills, missed calls from debt collectors, lost work, and the run-around from insurance companies. Kaitlin believes that these people deserve a caring and patient advocate.

Outside of the courtroom, Kaitlin loves being a CEO and business owner; spending quality time with her husband, Paul, and two sons, Brody and Noah; and exploring the Rocky Mountains.

A Trial-Tested Personal Injury Lawyer

When families face devastating injuries, they often feel powerless against insurance companies and corporations. This is where Kaitlin Nares excels. She has successfully represented clients in cases involving:

Her trial-tested approach means she does not accept the first offer that comes from an insurance adjuster. Instead, she digs deep into the evidence, consults with experts, and builds strong narratives that resonate with juries. She understands that trials are about more than facts—they are about people and the truth behind what they have suffered.

Why Trial Experience Matters

Not all attorneys are created equal. Many lawyers market themselves as “personal injury attorneys,” but few have real courtroom experience. Insurance companies know the difference. They often keep track of which attorneys are willing to take cases to trial and which ones settle every time.

Kaitlin Nares is an experienced trial attorney who has earned respect from both judges and opposing counsel. Her willingness to prepare for trial signals strength and gives her clients greater negotiating power. When Kaitlin enters the courtroom, insurance companies know they cannot intimidate her or minimize her client’s injuries.

This trial-readiness benefits her clients in several ways:
