For the last 14 years, the brain has been the focus of my career.
My journey did not begin with traumatic brain injury—it began with understanding the human brain itself.
Early in my career, I represented children in some of the nation’s most significant false confession and wrongful conviction cases in New York. Those cases required an in-depth understanding of how the developing brain works, particularly the prefrontal cortex and temporal lobes, and how stress, trauma, memory, suggestibility, and decision-making can influence behavior under pressure. My work was featured in the award-winning documentary False Confessions.
That foundation became the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of neuroscience.
Today, I am a Colorado trial lawyer who exclusively focuses on representing survivors of traumatic brain injuries and catastrophic truck wrecks. Over the past 14 years, my study has evolved from brain development to brain injury—mastering the science of neuroanatomy, neuroplasticity, diffuse axonal injury, advanced diagnostic testing, and the multidisciplinary medical specialists who help brain injury survivors rebuild their lives.
This evolution wasn’t a career change. It was a natural progression.
The questions have always been the same:
How does the brain work?
What happens when it’s injured?
How do we use science to uncover the truth?
That philosophy defines Nares Law Group.
We partner with leading neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, vestibular specialists, physiatrists, and rehabilitation experts to build evidence-based cases that reflect the full impact of traumatic brain injury. We believe the best advocacy comes from understanding not only the law, but the medicine and neuroscience behind every client’s story.
Our mission extends beyond obtaining exceptional verdicts and settlements. We are in the business of hope. We help brain injury survivors and their families build a life worth living through clarity, transparency, education, and relentless advocacy.
One Brain. One Mission. Fourteen Years of Focus.
We Believe in a Hopeful Future.
Outside of the courtroom, I love being a CEO and business owner; spending quality time with my husband, Paul, and two sons, Brody and Noah; and exploring the Rocky Mountains.
Kaitlin Nares
A Trial-Tested Personal Injury Lawyer
When families face devastating injuries, they often feel powerless against insurance companies and corporations. This is where Kaitlin Nares excels. She has successfully represented clients in cases involving:
Her trial-tested approach means she does not accept the first offer that comes from an insurance adjuster. Instead, she digs deep into the evidence, consults with experts, and builds strong narratives that resonate with juries. She understands that trials are about more than facts—they are about people and the truth behind what they have suffered.
Not all attorneys are created equal. Many lawyers market themselves as “personal injury attorneys,” but few have real courtroom experience. Insurance companies know the difference. They often keep track of which attorneys are willing to take cases to trial and which ones settle every time.
Kaitlin Nares is an experienced trial attorney who has earned respect from both judges and opposing counsel. Her willingness to prepare for trial signals strength and gives her clients greater negotiating power. When Kaitlin enters the courtroom, insurance companies know they cannot intimidate her or minimize her client’s injuries.
This trial-readiness benefits her clients in several ways:
At Nares Law Group, results matter because they change lives. Kaitlin’s track record demonstrates her ability to achieve justice for her clients. Each successful verdict or settlement is not just a legal win—it is a restoration of dignity, financial security, and hope for the future.
Clients trust Kaitlin because she:
This trust is the foundation of her practice. Families turn to Kaitlin Nares not only because of her legal skills, but also because they know she genuinely cares about their recovery and well-being.
A serious injury affects more than the victim—it touches every member of the family. Medical bills, lost income, emotional trauma, and long-term care needs create a ripple effect. Kaitlin Nares understands these burdens and approaches each case with both skill and compassion.
She has helped families secure compensation for:
Her dedication goes beyond winning cases. Kaitlin ensures that families feel supported through every stage of the process. From the initial consultation to the final verdict, she communicates openly, explains legal strategies clearly, and empowers her clients to make informed decisions.
