Laura Simpson

As a Paralegal at Nares Law Group, Laura helps clients navigate the legal process with clarity, consistency, and compassion. She understands that people recovering from serious injuries are often managing physical pain, financial uncertainty, and an unfamiliar legal system all at once. Her goal is to help make that journey feel less overwhelming by keeping clients informed, their cases organized, and their voices at the center of the work.

Laura brings more than 13 years of paralegal experience to the firm, including extensive work in personal injury litigation. Throughout her career, she has supported attorneys with case preparation, client communication, demand drafting, medical and billing summaries, discovery, court filings, records management, witness coordination, and litigation scheduling.

Her experience spans both state and federal courts and includes drafting, proofreading, editing, organizing, redacting, and filing complex legal documents. Laura has also served as an important liaison between clients and attorneys, conducting interviews, answering questions, coordinating next steps, and helping clients understand where their cases stand.

Before focusing her career on personal injury law, Laura worked in criminal law, where she assisted attorneys with legal research, courthouse filings, calendar management, accounting responsibilities, and daily law-firm operations. That broad foundation strengthened her resourcefulness, time management, and ability to remain composed when cases become complicated or deadlines are approaching.

What distinguishes Laura is her commitment to earning the confidence of the people she serves. She wants clients to know that their concerns matter, their questions deserve thoughtful answers, and their recovery is never reduced to a file number. For Laura, reaching a career high means becoming the person clients trust to help guide them through one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Laura is committed to expanding her knowledge of trucking regulations, complex case management, and litigation strategy. Her goal is to master the details that make complicated cases stronger while continuing to develop the judgment and confidence necessary to support clients through every stage of the process.

Laura earned her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Miller-Motte College, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She also received paralegal certification through the North Carolina State Bar.

Outside the office, Laura enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, shopping, reading murder mysteries and romance novels, and traveling anywhere with a beach. Her bucket list includes visiting Italy and Thailand, owning a home with acreage, and one day starting a dog rescue.
