D. Sean Nation, Esq.

Sean has represented clients in complex state and federal litigation across the country. His experience spans personal injury and product liability, class actions, consumer protection, pharmaceutical antitrust, securities litigation, data privacy, employment disputes, and constitutional matters. He has managed cases through every stage of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, expert testimony, dispositive motions, mediation, trial, and appeal.

Throughout his career, Sean has taken on well-funded corporations, financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, insurers, and government entities. He has led litigation teams, examined fact and expert witnesses, argued significant pretrial and evidentiary issues, and helped secure substantial recoveries for consumers and other plaintiffs. In one pharmaceutical antitrust matter, Sean helped lead the plaintiffs’ case through three weeks of jury trial before the matter resolved as part of settlements exceeding $45 million. His work on another pharmaceutical antitrust case contributed to a $54 million settlement.

Sean’s background also includes nationwide product-liability litigation involving serious personal injuries. In those cases, he worked closely with medical, scientific, and damages experts to develop the evidence and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial. That experience gives him a deep appreciation for the importance of understanding not only how an injury occurred, but how it changes every part of a person’s life.

He approaches litigation with precision, intellectual curiosity, and the steady confidence that comes from years of courtroom experience. Sean earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 2005, where he served as an Articles Editor and Symposium Editor for the Journal of Law & Liberty. He graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History. Sean was admitted to practice law in New York in 2006 and is also admitted before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, and several federal district courts.

Originally from Georgia, Sean now lives in Sedalia with his family, their dogs, Poppy and Archer, and a lively collection of chickens and goats.
